Located right on beautiful Carters Lake, this cozy cabin offers a gorgeous lake view from the covered porch, plus a free boat slip at the marina making this a great getaway for lake lovers. 10 cabins are available at Carters Lake Marina & Resort. This is cabin 6, an octagonal cabin with a loft and great views of the lake and marina. 2 bedrooms, each with 1 double bed, 1 bathroom plus a loft with 2 twin beds. Cabin guests have access to a courtesy dock at the marina for fishing & boating. The space Carters Lake Marina is a great place to stay while you explore the North Georgia mountains. 20 minutes from Ellijay, Jasper and Chatsworth, 40 minutes from Blue Ridge. Relax in the covered porch with an awesome view of the mountains and the lake, peace and tranquility await you. Due to our location we are unable to offer wifi to our guests but most guests use their cellular service for internet and the cabin has a Smart TV. Other things to note • To rent a cabin, you must be over 25 and no parties are allowed. Quiet hours 10 pm – 10 am. • Under 21 to be accompanied by an adult at all times. • Only registered guests at cabin, no extra day visitors. • A Rental agreement will be sent and needs to be signed before arrival. • Please contact the marina before reserving multiple cabins for the same group. • Check-in is from 4 pm – 6 pm, no check in after 6 pm without prior arrangement. • You must let us know before making your reservation if you need late check in to avoid losing your rental payment. When available, a covered dock with power is $20 per night. • Cabin guests are allowed to fish from courtesy dock only, all other docks are private. • No fish cleaning at cabins, no fish waste to be placed in garbage. • A $300 hold will be placed on a credit card, held by marina directly. All of the beds have very good pillow-top mattresses. This cabin is very clean and spacious and has been furnished with beauty and comfort in mind, there is a total of 1816 living space! The 2 sofas make for a relaxing place to converse with family and friends or enjoy a good movie on the 55" flat screen TV. You can also spend time playing video games in the loft area. The gorgeous stone gas fireplace provides warmth on those chilly mountain evenings and creates a cozy atmosphere. The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, a private bath and a 42" flat screen TV, the room is as comfortable as it is beautiful. The private bath has a separate shower and a large whirlpool Jacuzzi tub to relax in after a long day of hiking, or out sight seeing or shopping. 2 BR, 2 BA cabin in beautiful Coosawattee Wildlife Management Area at Carter’s Lake. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a TV and DVD player. The upstairs bedroom has a twin bed and a bunk beds. Both bathrooms have a full size tub/shower with towels provided. The kitchen is updated with beautiful granite counter tops and is fully stocked with pots, pans, microwave and a coffee pot. The comfortable main room has a wood burning fireplace and a large TV that receives DirectTV. Wifi is provided in this cabin. The couch and love seat are new and both recline. A washer and dryer are available for stays of six or more days. The cabin offers plenty of parking and there is a fire pit, table and chairs on the covered porch, love seat and chair on the sun porch. Dogs are welcome at the cabin and must remain on leash while outside. Off leash fun and play can take place down at the lake. Grocery shopping and meal prep is available for a fee. Advanced noticed is required. Carter's Lake is a short walk from the cabin. The shore line is perfect for putting in a kayak or canoe. Fishing from the shore line is always enjoyable and kids and dogs love to play in the water. Sunsets from the shoreline are incredible and there is a fire pit on the beach and up on a hill overlooking the lake. Carter's Lake Marina is only a short 3 mile drive. The marina does provide boat rentals and a snack bar. Public boat ramps are provided at Carter's Lake State Park. We are so excited to share our home with you. This beautiful and quaint two bedroom and two full bath cabin that will have you feeling cozy and at home the moment you walk through the front door. Creating a space where others can come and create lasting memories, take a moment to disconnect from the rush of everyday life, and reconnect with nature is our intention. We have stocked the kitchen with everything you could possibly want, from cooking a turkey meal to baking a pie, 3 different options for making coffee (regular coffee pot, Keurig, and French Press), children safe dinnerware, and being able to make iced tea on the front porch. A propane grill is ready for you to show off your grilling talents. There is both an outside fire pit and an indoor fireplace. You choose which calls to you from day to day. You'll find marshmellow sticks on top of the mantle enticing you to see who can make the best s'mores. Both bedrooms have comfortable king sized matresses with plenty of reading lights for those late night readers. The bathrooms are stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hairdryer in order to make your packing easier and the closets have lots of hangers. You will even find a pack-n-play with sheets and a booster high chair in the master bedroom closet. Whether it's first thing in the morning while sipping on your morning coffee, or as the sun begins to go down, while having a glass of wine, enjoy sitting in the screaned in porch overlooking the wooded area. Keep your eyes open as deer frequent this wooded ravine. Enjoy putting your feet up with the reclining chairs in the large couch and watching a movie of your liking. There are 5 different parks through the Reserve with beautiful sites to take in at each spot and a water tubing outfit to enjoy. You can also fish in the river (no license required) and use the BBQ charcoal grills at any of the 5 parks. There is a half bath on the main level as well as the master king suite.  The master features a new king bed with memory foam pillow top , another flat screen TV with satellite programming and your own private bath.  The bath has double vanities, a jacuzzi tub and a separate walk in shower; the laundry facilities are also located here.  Upstairs there are two more bedrooms, one a queen bed with a TV with satellite,  the other bedroom has two twin beds with trundles underneath to sleep a total of four in this room. There is a TV/DVD/Satellite in this room as well.  Finishing upstairs we have a sleeper sofa in the loft and full bath with tub/shower combo.  Bring the family downstairs for some together time in the movie lounge with a HUGE 55 inch smart TV with BluRay theater surround sound and seating for ten on a wrap around couch which is also a sleeper sofa. There is also a pool table, wet bar, another full bath with walk in shower and large hot tub on the deck.  The fourth bedroom is on this level with a king bed and TV/Satellite as well.  Ceiling fans in every bedroom,  tankless on-demand water heater so guests never run out of hot water, plenty of parking and easy access (the last half mile is gravel) all make McAlisters that perfect mountain escape.  -Added bonus; McAlisters Highland Retreat is part of the Coosawattee River Resort.  The small onetime fee you pay gets you into the resort and we cover the rest for you.  There is an indoor swimming pool located less than a mile away, two outside pools (open Memorial Day through Labor Day) fitness center, miniature golf, tennis and basketball courts, fishing pond, and multiple river access points for swimming or fishing. -Conveniently located just a few miles from downtown Ellijay; shopping and restaurants are just minutes away.  Everything from waterfalls to wineries with day trips to Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls State Park, Ocoee whitewater rafting, Carters Lake and miles of hiking and biking trails all right in your back yard.
